How Long Should I Spend on First Five Activities?

The First Five was created to be used within the first five minutes of class.

It does not need to take a full five minutes. Some sections may only take a few seconds!

The goal is to select one activity to integrate into your class each day and provide an opportunity for students to connect with you and their peers.

Some educators choose to use multiple activities throughout their day and during transitions but you don't have to. That's the beauty of the First Five; you have full creative control of how often and when you use these resources!
